The iconic red and white checkered moon rocket from The Adventures of TinTin.
The episode called Destination Moon is the first time we meet this rocket. It is, in my opinion, one of the most characteristic and iconic scenes from The Adventures of Tintin. When Tintin and the gang pulls up to this enormous, fun-looking, bright red and curvy rocket, is one of the moments in Tintin I will never forget.
I tried to recreate this magnificent space vessel in this build. I am personally a huge fan of Tintin and has watched the show and read the comics since I was a child. Seeing this rocket brings back many happy memories, and I hope this build will spark just as many nostalgic memories in you!
The model stands 67.2cm high, and is made of 1.332 parts, plus 110 parts for the classic blue willy's jeep.
I challenged myself with this build, because it is not easy to make a cylindrical and cony shape, which varies in width, and has a triangular base for the landing feet.
I hope you will enjoy building this just as much as I did!
