This is a model of an ancient Mayan ball court. The Maya had a traditional that involved 2 teams, a hoop, and a solid rubber ball. Just outside the court, are the spectator stands for the royalty. I wanted this to show people about the ancient civilization that not many people know about. After Seeing the real Ball courts in Mexico, I saw that one would make a great Lego set.
I have not seen many Archeological lego sets, and this is a good way to teach people about ancient civilizations. These ball courts are amazing, and I would love to see one become a Lego set. I know that historical sets have not been well recieved in the past, but the Mayan Ball Courts are just so interesting, and I think it could be a great set.
