My interpretation of what a Lego Technic Land Speed Record car could look like.
My inspiration is the pioneering first jet record cars from the 1960's built by the likes of Craig Breedlove, Walt and Art Arfons and Tom Green which within the space of 2 years took the record from 400mph to 600mph.
Designed around an afterburning turbojet engine with afterburner this car is set to travel at over 600mph, with air intakes wrapped around the drivers seating position to feed the engine, large rear wheels and ultra thin front wheels to reduce rolling resistance and a large rear stabilising fin to hold the car steady when on its record runs.
