Building a minifigure scale Formula 1 car can be difficult because of the limited space in the cockpit. It's especially difficult to get the minifigure to sit low enough in the car. As I like enough space in my LEGO cars to fit a full minifgure, and not just the torso or head and helmet, I came up with a little trick to place the minifigure as low as possible using a bracket piece. In the video below, you can see how the minifigure is put into position. There's a tiny steering wheel as well.
Of course, I've used the classic Octan color scheme to complete the look. The total build only uses 86 LEGO pieces, so the set shouldn't be too expensive. Just a nice City scale Octan F1 racer to add to a classic lineup of Octan vehicles.
