Megalodon Shark Tooth Display

The Megalodon shark was a massive predator that hunted the oceans of the world over 20 million years ago and was so large it could theoretically swallow a whale! With all the species of sharks we know of today, I want to bring something "jaw" inspiring to the LEGO table.

I've decided to present two tooth designs and a fossil jaw full of teeth to honor one of the oldest extinct creatures to ever swim in our ancient oceans! Crabs scurry, fish swimming and sharks hunting populate the display for an underwater feel and effect as if you found the teeth sitting on the bottom of a rock peppered tropical bay teeming with life. This set is a playable display that you can take photos of your favorite minifigures inside of the jaw just like at the museum, just walk up the red staircase past the photo sign!

I believe this would be a great Ideas set for anyone who loves shark teeth, the ocean, education of sea life, marine biology, shark tooth hunting, needs a show and tell for class, wants to increase their own collections… Too many possibilities!

Both teeth's dimensions are as follows, the blade is 5 inches long and 4 inches wide and 1 inch thick. The root is 2 inches tall and 5 inches wide and 1 inch thick. You will notice the studs placed on the fresh tooth. This is done, so you may customize the look of your teeth! Snails and barnacles cover the fossil version, What would you try to personalize yours?! You can hold all three displays in your hands and get the feeling of you're holding the teeth that belonged to one of the ocean's greatest predators!

*The teeth are scaled to how large the real specimens can be*.

This project is on its third attempt to make a splash on LEGO Ideas, and is made up of 1556 pieces. I hope this project catches some eyes! As always, thank you for your support and comments!

As always, build on!
