“After finding out that he is a demigod, Percy, Sally, and Grover are in a rush to get to the safety of Camp Half-Blood. Unfortunately, on their way, they encounter the one and only bull of Minos, the half-man, half-bull beast, the Minotaur. With this monster wanting to stop them at any cost on their back, the gang has no choice but to fight back using just a sword and a red-colored coat. Will they manage to defeat the Minotaur? You decide!”
Good to see you, demigods! I’ve been expecting you! Welcome to my LEGO Ideas project: “Percy Jackson and The Olympians🔱 – Minotaur Escape 🐂”! I’m making this project as a love letter to the Percy Jackson and the Olympians franchise, in honor of the Disney+ show, and in the hopes this will inspire LEGO to make a Percy Jackson and The Olympians theme.
In the project, you can find a Minotaur figure with 13 points of articulation so it can be posed in many ways, which allows the possibility of making him stand straight up or on all fours. His horns are also removable, creating a new weapon for the gang to fight against him. Oh, and I didn’t forget his iconic underwear.
For car enthusiasts, I created a replica of a white 78’ Chevrolet Camaro car with a removable hood that gives access to the interior where you can fit all 3 minifigures. Only adults at the steering wheel, please!
Speaking of minifigures, the project comes with 3: Percy Jackson equipped with his iconic pen-sword, the Anaklusmos (“Riptide”); Grover Underwood with built satyr legs and a pair of separate legs so he can sit down; Sally Jackson equipped with a red-colored coat to distract the Minotaur.
And, last, but not least, to give a bit of life in this dark world, there’s a pine tree with a sign that indicates to the Camp Half-Blood. The Tree is decorated with a cute poisonous mushroom at the roots, an owl to symbolize Athena, the goddess of wisdom and strategy, and a squirrel as a reference to “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” (specifically the moment where Grover talks to the squirrel).
I also have plans to update the project each time it gets 1.000 supporters till it gets 9.000 supporters. So keep an eye out for this!
Like Percy needed his friends to face all the challenges and fulfill his mission, I will need your help.
