My idea is a pair of book ends that utilise a similar design with minor changes to allow connection with certain already released sets, I designed them this way so that regardless of which set you chose from a given theme you will be able to connect them to the base and display them while they also remain functional
I built this because of my growing collection of a range of vehicle-based sets and a joke me and my partner shared about using one that we both have as a pair of book ends. When looking at them I noticed the bases of them and several other bust/statue type sets had similar if not the same kind of design for the stand bases. From here I designed a bookend using the longest of them for the length and built up a retaining wall. I also created a quick way for the parts used to secure the sets to be added and removed based on the kind of set you want to display.
While I have built the set in white for simplicity, I do believe the design is a good one as it provides a way to blend the display of these sets with the practicality of a book end to maximise space usage and an easy way to change them out when you want to. To show what they look like when a set is connected I have built basic models that connect into and onto them.
