Arcane: Jinx Bust

From the acclaimed Netflix series Arcane: League of Legends, Jinx is a tragic ball of chaos that you can't help but cheer for even when it all is going wrong around her. Arcane has some of the best character designs in modern media—Jinx being one of the most memorable and recognizable of the bunch.

This build was inspired by the thought that Jinx's complex and striking hair design would create a very fun design and build experience; The combination of simple braids with exaggerated swooping bangs creates a memorable and unique silhouette. There are a large number of complicated angles that are required to create a life-like human bust as well, which was an additional challenge I wanted to attempt. This model uses technic structures in the hair braids and neck as three structural pillars into a dense connected base to sneakily stabilize the weight of the head in a way that is invisible to the final result.

The Star Wars helmet series of sets has proven that there is a market for character busts out there, and Jinx's silhouette is a comparable to the recognizability of these. Should this idea exist as a set it would not only be a great display piece for fans of the show but also a unique and interesting build experience for Lego fans with the requisite complex structure of the design.
