Themis has been used to represent justice since Ancient Greece. Today, statues of her can often be found around courthouses. Statues differ depending on the artist, but some symbols are recurrent:
- The Scales represent the obligation of weighting all evidence
- The Blindfold for impartiality
- The Snake for evil and corruption
- The Sword for enforcement of the ruling
- The Book most likely represents the established laws
The set consists of 831 carefully chosen Lego pieces in colours that currently exist. Almost all of the visible pieces are in the Medium Stone Grey colour with 3 small exceptions for design or availability reasons:
- The small chains (39890) are only available in Silver Metallic colour;
- The 1x2 Plates modified with a ball (14417) are only available in the Dark Stone Grey colour; However, these are shown as Medium Stone Grey in the rendered images.
- Some pieces are in the Trans-Clear colour for design reasons.
This would make this set really easy for production if it ever gets to that point. That is where people can help by supporting the project if they like it. I had tons of fun designing this with several iterations of reality check adjustments. The real physical version can be seen on a shelf in the second picture.
