Orion Spacecraft and European Service Module

I am thrilled to present my LEGO Ideas submission: the Orion spacecraft and European Service Module. This set represents the next frontier in human space exploration, slated to take us back to the moon in the coming years. I missed witnessing the historic moon landing of 1969, but the prospect of seeing humanity return to the moon (and beyond) with my own eyes fills me with unparalleled excitement. This set aims to capture that wonder and inspire the next generation of dreamers and builders, just as I was inspired gazing at the night sky while imagining my own explorations with my Dad’s LEGO from ‘78.

The recently released SLS (Space Launch System) LEGO set is a fantastic addition to any collection, and my goal with the Orion and European Service Module is to complement it perfectly. Crafted in minifigure scale, this set allows kids and enthusiasts alike to place their miniature astronauts in the spacecraft, capturing the thrill of space missions. While the mini and midi scale models are impressive, there's something uniquely engaging about interacting with minifigure scale builds. As a child, nothing compared to the joy of placing my tiny pilot in the cockpit of a spacecraft, and I aim to bring that same joy to LEGO fans of today.

I believe this set would make a phenomenal addition to the LEGO family for several reasons. First and foremost, it’s not just a toy; it’s an educational tool that can ignite curiosity and passion for space exploration. Who knows? This set might inspire the next great thinker or engineer who will design future spacecraft, taking us further than we’ve ever gone before. The Orion spacecraft is pivotal as it represents humanity's first steps towards returning to the moon and eventually exploring beyond. This set symbolizes not only a journey through space but also a journey of imagination and innovation.

My Orion spacecraft and European Service Module LEGO set offers a blend of play and education, sparking excitement and wonder in both young builders and seasoned collectors. By supporting this project, you’re not just endorsing a LEGO set; you’re championing the spirit of exploration and the limitless potential of human ingenuity.

Let’s bring the Orion spacecraft and European Service Module to life, and inspire the builders and explorers of tomorrow.
