The English Cafe

Hello and thank you for stopping by. This is my second big MOC and I have to say I am really proud of it. In June I visited London and that trip turned out to be one of my favorite ones abroad since I had many interesting experiences there. One of the most memorable ones was eating at a specific café a friend of us suggested we go to. By the time I saw that building I was amazed by the architecture and I knew I had to create it as a Lego MOC. So here it is. The build has a little less than 3000 pieces including the minifigures.

The minifigures:

There are seven minifigures:

  • The café owner
  • The barista
  • The apartment owner
  • 2 civilians
  • The herb shop owner
  • The massager

The build:

The build includes:

  • The café
  • A herb shop
  • An apartment
  • A massage studio

In the ground floor there is the café and a herb shop. In the café there are a few shelfs with a number of
non-alcoholic beverages as well as an expensive rare glass on the top shelf used on special occasions only. There are a few tables, a statue of the founder of the place and a bathroom under the staircase leading to the semi floor. On the semi floor there are a few more tables with menus and two couches for some extra detail. At the side of the building there is the herb shop with all kinds of herbs both for medical and cooking uses. On the second floor there is an apartment which includes a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. There is also a massage studio. In the living room there is a couch, a small bookcase and a TV. The bathroom includes a toilet, a sink as well as a shower. The bedroom and the massage studio are a little bit simpler because I was running out of pieces, but they include all the necessary features.

Many people including myself are modular building fans as a result I believe this build would be an excellent idea for a real Lego set appealing especially to AFOLs and TFOLs.
