This is a replica of the Apollo Guidance Computer's display and keyboard, or DSKY for short. The DSKY was the primary interface between the Apollo astronauts and the Apollo Guidance Computer. Because it was a piece of classified space equipment, not many display and keyboard units are known to exist, and a Lego replica would be a great way for space fans everywhere to acquire a piece of Apollo history. Just don't cause any 1202 errors! *
* The 1202 error was a famous Apollo 11 error in which the Apollo Guidance Computer basically ran out of core memory sets for its tasks.
Originally, this had an actual airplane connector, which was replaced with a sticker for Ideas. If this becomes a set, Lego can make some color stickers and replace two parts on the bottom that are dark gray with black parts. I ran out of black 1x2 slopes.
