Introduced on the classic television series "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood," and currently seen on its PBS spin-off "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood," the Neighborhood Trolley has carried children to Fred Rogers' "Neighborhood of Make Believe" since 1968.
Although this model is not motorized, it is feasible to create a version which would include a Power Function Motor and IR control.
Since it's an iconic vehicle featured in both a long-running TV classic that generations of adults have grown up with and a current children's favorite, a Lego version of the Neighborhood Trolley has a wide appeal and a massive potential audience.
In addition to the full-scale model seen above, a smaller version (below) could also be produced for a gift-with-purchase promotion, and an extension into the Duplo line could be considered.
