Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
"One of the most fantastic things about this whole technique is the fact that we don't make mistakes. We have happy accidents."- Bob Ross
The Joy of Painting was an instructional television program that aired on PBS from 1983-1994. A painter named Bob Ross taught viewers the wet-on-wet oil painting technique, along with his calm demeanor, relaxing voice, and painting expertise. His show was an international success, spawning 31 seasons and over 400 episodes. I have decided to incorporate this show into LEGO, because many people love Mr. Ross, and I believe this is a proper tribute to him.
The features of the set include:
- A 16x20 stud rectangular brick-built painting, inspired by Bob Ross's nature-themed paintings
- A minifigure recreation of Bob Ross, with a button down shirt, dark tan trousers, painting pallet, and paint brush
- A minifigure-scale easel with a painting
- A display stand for Bob and his easel
The set consists of 127 pieces. I think people of all ages could enjoy this set, because The Joy of Painting is watched by children, teens, and adults alike.
If this idea is produced as an official set, I could see it going for 15-20 U. S. dollars.
I hope you all find this idea enjoyable and satisfying. Happy painting/building, and don't forget to create happy little trees!
