LEGO Star Wars - Order 66 Collection Battle of Felucia

The idea to create a LEGO set based on Felucia, a fictional planet in the Star Wars universe came about after watching the film "Revenge of the Sith." This idea was inspired by the recent wave of Episode III sets based on Outer Rim Battles towards the end of the Clone Wars, such as Saleucami and Kashyyyk.

This is a continuation of that theme, and features elements of the Outer Rim Battles and also the Execution of Order 66, where Jedi were turned on by their Clone troops.

The set is based on the rugged fungi biome that is prevalent on Felucia, and features mushrooms, Fungi plants and foliage.

The minifigures included are Commander Bly, 2 x Star Corps Troopers, Clone Scout, Super Battle Droid and Jedi Aayla Secura who was killed by the Star Corps troopers and Commander Bly.
Although this is just one scene from the Outer Rim sieges in Episode III, I hope it inspires others or even LEGO to create a wave of sets based solely on "Order 66" on the other planets of Cato Neimoidia, Mygeeto, Coruscant and Utapau.

The set features three main play elements: a dwarf spider droid, a Republic BARC speeder for scouting the landscape, and two baseplates - one for the main landscape and one for a giant fungi plant.

A set based on the Outer Rim world of Felucia would make an excellent addition to any Lego Star Wars collectors (young or adult) collection. Star Wars Episode III features some of the most exotic, bizzare and amazing planet worlds in any of the films and this set re-creates just one of those locations allowing unlimited playability and fun for kids, and creative model building for adult fans and collectors.

The landscape features flowers stacked up like fungi growths and exotic plants covering the ground. This is a fairly simple design but it is designed to inspire others to create their world the way they like it.

The BARC speeder features rifle holders and an unfolding flick fire missile shooter to aim at the super battle droid in the set. The inclusion of the BARC speeder is designed to even out the Separatist forces.

The dwarf spider droid adds more separatist action, playability and conflict to the set. The model is based on previous dwarf spider droid designs.

I hope that this set design at least inspires others to create scenes from Star Wars that are unique and new, and perhaps the Lego Group to release sets based on more diverse and interesting scenes in the Star Wars Saga, instead of re-modelling the same sets.
