The Maneki Neko

The Maneki Neko, also known as the "fortune cat" or "beckoning cat", is a traditional Japanese figurine depicting a cat usually with one paw raised in a gesture of greeting. Its origins date back to Japan during the Edo period. It is said that the Maneki Neko brings luck, prosperity, and good fortune to its owner.

Distinctive features of the Maneki Neko include the raised paw, which can be either right or left depending on local tradition or belief, and it often wears a decorative collar or necklace with a bell.

The color of the Maneki Neko also has symbolic meanings: white is associated with purity and happiness, black wards off evil, gold symbolizes wealth and success, and red is linked to love and relationships.

I have always been fascinated by this cat, its hypnotic movement and its story, so I decided to reproduce it with bricks, hoping it can bring me luck!

And you, what do you think? Good luck to all!
