The Vintage Ghost Train - Funfair

At last, the funfair has arrived in town. A beautiful purple lorry, straight out of an 80s horror film, rolls out to offer its attraction, but it's not sure it's for the faint of heart...

At first glance, this mansion doesn't look very welcoming. And you'd be right, as it seems to be home to many beasts, monsters and other unspeakable things.

Come on, does that frighten you? You haven't seen anything yet. Get up the courage! Go and buy a ticket from Chantal and take your place in a wagon. 

Will you be worthy of the journey? Will the stone-hearted statue that watches over the sanctuary let you pass? Your journey will continue in the dark moat of the manor house, which has been abandoned for some time now. Would you like to relax by the fire in a cosy sitting room? Beware, however, of the 'biting' retorts of the local count. The lack of sunshine, solitude and... hunger are putting him on edge. So don't linger too long. There are stories of a ghost lurking in the Manor, but have you seen it? In any case, what's certain is that HE HAS SEEN YOU. And if you've got any strength left after this visit, a word of advice... Run away you fool... Mouhahaha

Once again, this Lego Ideas project brings back childhood memories. It took a lot of courage to get on a ghost train. And it was with my sister and brother that we discovered this fun way of scaring ourselves. I was greatly inspired to create the atmosphere of the project by a number of films, such as "licorice pizza" for its 70s/80s atmosphere and colours. The 'Strangers Things' series, Tim Burton's universe and the ghost train from the film 'Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain' also inspired me to create the universe for the project.

The whole project consists of around 1,440 parts. What I really enjoyed was finding a system that would allow me to combine and interlock as many elements as possible in a small space (in the truck's trailer). 

I hope you enjoy discovering the project as much as I did imagining it.
