THANK YOU FOR 9,000 VOTES OF SUPPORT!

Thank you for the 9,000 votes of support! Almost to 10K! Below are two additional unique minifigure ideas. One is Albert Dreary who is the cameo character played by Peter Jackson. The other is the hobbit Nob from the book who works for Barliman at the Prancing Pony and helps keep the hobbits safe from the Ring Wraiths. Let me know what you think of these characters!

THANK YOU FOR 8,000 VOTES OF SUPPORT!

Thank you to all the castle, fantasy, and LoTR Lego fans for your support! It is exciting to see this set get 8,000 votes and continue to inch closer to 10K. I have enjoyed watching the new Rings of Power show and seeing rumors of Lego LoTR sets returning. Here is a picture of our Prancing Pony build with a light kit installed. Keep sharing!

Thank you to everyone who has helped this Lord of the Rings set design make it this far. With the Ring of Power series releasing in a couple of days I hope we can show Lego we would love to have some more LoTR sets like this Prancing Pony set! 7,000 supporters is an awesome milestone! Please keep spreading the word!

Thank you for 6,000 votes of support!

Thank you for 6,000 votes of support! We are both humbled and excited as we press on towards 10K. We have built a real-world version of this set and it is now sitting on a shelf in my kitchen!

My children and I have been able to build an initial version of the Prancing Pony shown below that is a hybrid of the original color scheme and some of the current design. Some of the pieces are pretty expensive to buy, including all four hobbit minifigures so we will see if that happens. But I think the price of those minifigures shows the popularity of the LoTR theme due to supply and demand. I am also considering printing some custom woodgrain stickers for this set to see how much that impacts the look of the inn. Thank you all for your continued support and I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Thank you for 5,000 votes of support!

Thank you for 5,000 votes of support! I made a commitment to some fans who are supporting this build that if I made it to 5,000 votes I would try to build this set with real Lego bricks with my kids. As previously announced with 5,000 votes we have been constructing! I am sure we will learn ways to improve this design when we build it for real. So thankful for all the support for this project so far! Please keep sharing and spreading the word. Hoping to post some real world build pictures soon.

Thank you for 4,000 votes of support! I made a commitment to some fans who are supporting this build that if I made it to 5,000 votes I would try to build this set with real Lego bricks with my kids. With 4,000 votes we are far enough that recently I placed several large BrickLink orders and we plan to begin construction! I am sure we will learn ways to improve this design when we build it for real. So thankful for all the support for this project so far! Please keep sharing and spreading the word.

New minifigure character - Bill Ferny

Got a great idea from @Lord Emperor Vader 66 for adding Bill Ferny as an additional minifugre. Let me know what you think of the minifigure design and if it is well received I will add it to the main set of 15 pictures. This will replace the generic unnamed medieval minifigure I had in the set previously. Bill Ferny is a very interesting character in the books which causes trouble for the hobbits. He frees their ponies, works with the Nazgual, and sells information around town. https://lotr.fandom.com/wiki/Bill_Ferny

Please let me know in the comments what you think and keep crowdsourcing me good ideas! I am listening!

Accessible attic space with hidden treasures

This picture shows how the roof is designed to be removable so they hobbits can hide in the attic from the wraiths or explore and find treasures, maps, animals and weapons.

Modular roof and 1000 supporters

Based on feedback I have received I would like to clarify that the roof is indeed modular as shown in this picture although most of the play features are easily accessible from the hinged opening. And thank you for 1,000 votes of support!
