The hyacinth macaw couple stands gracefully on a branch, showcasing their elegant posture and deep bond. The father macaw spreads his wings as if ready to fly, symbolizing protection and leadership, while the mother macaw quietly accompanies him, reflecting their mutual understanding and closeness. Nestled peacefully in a tree hollow below the branch, their baby conveys a sense of warmth and security, highlighting the beauty of life in the natural world.
The creation starts from the head of the macaw and extends through its body, wings, and tail, using dark blue feather elements to capture the dynamic pose of outstretched wings. The mother macaw stands firmly on a branch, crafted with stability using technical and curved elements. The branch itself is assembled with reddish-brown curved pieces, and a small macaw is hidden inside a tree hollow. The green base, decorated with plants, adds a harmonious touch to the overall design.
This Hyacinth Macaw family was constructed with approximately 1,800 pieces and will be exhibited at the LEGO House in Denmark in 2025 for one year.
Given that LEGO Ideas has limited animal-themed sets, I saw this as a wonderful opportunity to contribute something unique! I believe this set is the perfect addition for nature enthusiasts and collectors who wish to showcase the rare beauty of wildlife in their homes.
