Hiccup and Toothless

"One end coats the blade in Monstrous Nightmare saliva."

"The other sprays Hideous Zippleback gas."

As Hiccup says in the film, the hilt of his dragon blade holds two cartridges, both of which contain highly flammable substances.

Since his dragon blade is included in the project, I thought the Hideous Zippleback gas would be a fun detail to include.

HTTYD 2 One Year Anniversary

Today is the one year anniversary of the greatest animated movie ever.

I thought I'd post this update to celebrate that historic day.

Throwback Thursday!

If you've ever wondered what Toothless looked like when I first built him back in 2012, now you get to find out.

Several design elements of Toothless have remained the same throughout the numerous design changes, such as his head (although it's now smaller than it used to be), his legs, and his tail (which also used to be smaller).

Now because I made the mistake of never photographing Toothless when I first built him, this model might not be 100% accurate.

Enjoy!

"Now you can make those tight turns."

I decided to add the spines to Toothless' back to continue to make the model as accurate as possible.

(Although I still haven't figured out how to get them to split down the middle.)

Please keep supporting!

New saddle design

I've modified Toothless' riding gear with the addition of hand levers for a more movie-accurate design, and the saddle now runs the full length of his body. I flipped around the Uruk-hai body that I used for Hiccup's flight armor for greater accuracy to the film, and also changed the color of his fire sword's handle from black to silver.

Feel free to comment and tell me what you think of the new saddle.
