Avro RJ

What is it?
This is a model of an Avro RJ (Regional Jet), banking above the clouds.  The aircraft is the most successful British jet passenger plane of all time, based upon British Aerospace's BAe 146, further developed, and re-branded under the old Avro name (one of many firms absorbed by the conglomerate, which is now known as BAE Systems).  It was sometimes known as the "Whisperjet" because it was so quiet.
Why did I build it?
I built it because it is a magnificent aircraft, and it was built at Woodford in my home county of Cheshire.
Will it make a good set?
I believe so.  It is a simple build and represents a stylish and well-loved commercial aircraft, still in service, despite the cessation of the building programme.
