¡Bienvenido a México!
Welcome to Forza Horizon 5! Race at top speed through beautiful landscapes, perform spectacular stunts, or take your time to enjoy the surroundings. This is my latest LEGO Ideas design, and now I have some cool info about it for you.
What is Forza Horizon 5?
Let's start with probably the most important question, what is Forza Horizon 5? Forza Horizon 5 is the 5th instalment of the Forza Horizon video game series and is set in Mexico. It is an open-world racing game that will be released this year in November.
The Idea:
I'm a big fan of Forza Horizon 4, and I'm really looking forward to Forza Horizon 5, so I came up with the idea of building a LEGO model around this theme. Since Forza Horizon 5 has many aspects, it was not so easy to find something that I could build to represent the whole game. I was helped in my decision by the fact that there are only 5 trailers and a few screenshots of Forza Horizon 5 so far, after all the game hasn't been released yet. I decided to go with this image as I think it has the most to do with Forza.
The Design:
My design consists of a total of 1270 parts and has a footprint of 56x16 studs without the minifigure stand. As already mentioned above, it shows an arch under which a car drives. The design is primarily intended as a display set, but can of course also be played with the enclosed car.
The Arch:
The arch is the main part of my design. The main difficulty was to reproduce the asymmetrical shapes with LEGO. Another important part of the bow is the painting. At first, I only wanted to print it on, but then I decided to use a brick-building solution.
The Car:
In the original picture, a red car from Sweden passes under the arch, but I could not do this because LEGO Ideas only allows you to use one IP per design. Therefore, I decided to build a generic car. This is not a racing car any more, but an upgraded car with a roll cage and a blower over the bonnet. I decided to do this because I particularly enjoy upgrading cars in Forza Horizon 4. I also changed the colour from red to blue, because I think it fits better. The driver wears a white The Eliminator racing suit familiar from Forza Horizon 4.
Minifigures and Minifigure Stand:
From the beginning I wanted, similar to big LEGO sets, two minifigures to be included on a minifigure stand. I chose a male figure with "Welcome to the Horizon Festival" on the T-shirt and a female figure with the Forza Horizon 5 logo on the shirt. The minifigure stand is designed and coloured to look like a racetrack.
Now it's your turn. If you like my idea, please support it and share it with your friends! I would also be happy if you give me feedback in the comments, because that's the only way I can improve my idea. Also, feel free to write me if you're already looking forward to Forza Horizon 5 and what your favourite car in Forza Horizon 4 is.
Thanks a lot for that.
