This is a small carousel with 6 horses. Turn the handle and see it spin!
I use technic bricks (bricks with holes) and clips to hang the horses. Unlike the horses in a real carousel, these mini horses cannot move up and down, but they do dangle and swing. However, they are mini horses so the LEGO men have to "take off" their legs to ride the horse. :p
The hexagon roof and gear set make this project a challenging one. I tried to use basic bricks to build the roof and gear set, and I did it!
I know LEGO already has a grand carousel set. But this one is just the right size to put on the desk and a good companion when you are reading, working, or thinking. It is healing to turn the handle slowly and to watch the dangling horses swing as the carousel spins. :)
