HAving lived in Dublin for the last 30 years and having Irish grandparents Dublin has always felt home to me and as a result of living here and my love of Lego i decided to try and build a LEGO Dublin in Mini Scale with key landmarks.
Dublin is a city steeped in history and culture, with landmarks that are instantly recognizable. This LEGO set features iconic structures such as Liberty Hall, Four Courts, The GPO (General Post Office), Poolbeg Towers, Croke PArk the GAA National Stadium and The River Liffey with Boardwalk. This would not only appeal to LEGO enthusiasts but also to those interested in history and architecture.
Dublin offers a diverse range of architectural styles, from the medieval Georgian buildings with the Four Courts and modern structures like Croke Park. This diversity would provide a stimulating and varied building experience, showcasing different architectural techniques and styles.
Dublin is a popular tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors annually. A LEGO set capturing the essence of the city would be a wonderful souvenir for visitors and a way for people around the world to engage with the city's landmarks from the comfort of their homes.
A LEGO set based on Dublin’s cityscape could serve as an educational tool, teaching builders about the city's history, architecture, and cultural heritage. This could be particularly beneficial for younger builders, sparking an interest in learning more about Dublin and its significance.
For residents and those with a connection to Dublin, a mini-scale LEGO set would foster a sense of pride and nostalgia. It would be a celebration of their city, immortalized in LEGO form.
There is a strong market for LEGO sets that depict famous cities and landmarks. Previous sets featuring cities like New York, Paris, and London have been highly successful. Given Dublin’s global recognition and charm, it stands to reason that a Dublin City set would be popular among collectors and casual builders alike.
