Eagle Has Landed. July 20, 1969
Neil Armstrong: "Houston, Tranquility Base here, the Eagle has landed".
Hi Everybody:
I present you a Lunar Module project, named "Eagle Has Landed", in honor of the famous words of Neil Armstrong when the lunar module Eagle landed on the lunar surface. The Apollo project was the culmination of decades of scientific research and technological developments, and its ambitious goal was to put a man on the Moon and bring him back safely.
No doubt this has been one of the most important moments in the history of space exploration and probably in the history of mankind.
As part of a series of projects on the history of space exploration, I created this model of the Eagle Lunar Module using 468 Lego bricks (with LDD). The project includes two minifigures: Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
