Mazda Miata

This car is a Mazda Miata that was released in 1989. 

I built this car because of a memory that I had of a special car that my dad owned when I was younger. As a child, I loved red sports cars because of the red Mazda Miata my father drove. I remember hearing the sound of the rumbling engine as he veered onto our street every day when my dad came home from work. Once, I even rode in the front seat, and man -- it was an unforgettable experience! Occasionally, dad would let me sit in the driver seat where I pretended to be a race car driver, moving the steering wheel erratically as I avoided imaginary competitors. This is my fondest childhood memory of my dad. My dad sold the car years ago, and so I decided to make a Lego version of this car until I could afford to purchase one myself.

From 1989 through 2020, over a million Mazda Miatas have been produced and sold around the world. Furthermore, this model could be easily built by adults and children.  As such, I believe this car would make a great Lego seat.
