Hello everyone!
Here’s a little reproduction of the most iconic rowing boat from the Italian city of Venice. Living just a couple of hours from there, I’ve always had a strong emotional bond with that city, and in particular with this unique example of Italy’s elegance, good taste and creativity. I built the model more or less a year ago, and since then I’ve thought about submitting it as a LEGO idea.
The build is simple but effective, and it uses some interesting tecniques to create the waves and the important details of the boat, like the “fèrro” at the front and the “fòrcola” holding the oar.
I really think it would make a perfect display model, which you could buy as an italian souvenir or just to taste a bite of Venice’s floating symbol.
