James and the Giant Peach: The Great Seagull Rescue!

Step into the magical world of Roald Dahl's classic story with this Lego model of James and the Giant Peach! This build depicts the scene where James, using his wit and resourcefulness, captures seagulls with spider silk to lift the peach out of the ocean away from the sharks.

From the front of the model, you see the peach bobbing in the water as James stands nervously atop the peach awaiting the next seagull to approach. Earthworm peeps out of the hole anxiously as hungry sharks circle the peach.

The back half of the model shows the peach cross-section. The pit can be opened to reveal the ‘room’ inside. Glow-worm hangs from the ceiling, lighting the pit, while Miss Spider weaves the silk.

Old-Green-Grasshopper, Centipede, Ladybug and Silkworm are also included as playable figures. Each has their own copy of ‘James and the Giant Peach’ including a rare first edition as well as the purple edition many of us were familiar with as young readers.

This build is not only a tribute to a beloved children's book but also a testament to the power of creativity, imagination and adventure. As a lifelong fan of Roald Dahl and Lego, I hope that this build will bring joy to fans of the book as well as introduce the story to a new generation!
