M.A.S.K was my favorite cartoon as a kid. I had lots of joy playing with them as a kid and these toys stood the test of time, they are with me even after more than 30 years of play!
I love to create my own creation (MOC) with LEGO bricks and as time goes by, I realize I can build several vehicles from the M.A.S.K. series with bricks and loads of creativity. I have been constantly showcasing my M.A.S.K. builds online as well as at LEGO Fan events.
The Volcano is one of M.A.S.K. leader class vehicle which is driven by Matt Trakker, the leader of M.A.S.K. It can transform from All Terrain Van into a Hi-Rise Tracker and back!
I take pride in emulating the transformation of the real toy into LEGO form as much as possible. In this model, I use some technic parts in the body to make movable joints. The turret can be raised from the car when the body is separated.
I have been told by some of the M.A.S.K. fans during my display at conventions that they thought this is the real toy! That really gives me loads of satisfaction.
