This is a minifigure scale model of the HAL 9000 computer from “2001 a space odyssey”. HAL 9000 was a computer aboard the Discovery, which is the ship in “2001 a space odyssey”, HAL controlled everything on the ship regarding to the mission which was to investigate the origin of the mysterious monolith.
