Ahoy! Thank you for checking out my latest creation – the Treasure Chest: 3-in-1 Microscale Adventure
THE IDEA
I present to you “Treasure Chest: 3-in-1 Microscale Adventure” – a world of three different Microscale designs interchangeable within a Treasure Chest. Taking inspiration from my previous Treasure Chest project, I wanted to explore more themes, buildings, and objects in Microscale. The new Treasure Chest design once again has the ability to fold down on all four sides to reveal 3 different fully self-contained creations within. The Microscale designs transport you from a medieval castle, to pirate fort, to a classic western robbery. All up this design uses 2,200 pieces.
THE PITCH
Explore and play with three different Microscale worlds as you interchange the contents and reveal the adventure within! You could even use these worlds as inspiration to build your own Microscale creation to surprise and delight friends and family. Castles, knights, pirates, ships, cowboys, trains – let your imagination run wild with these three settings!
THE INSPIRATION
Following the success of my original Treasure Chest project I wanted to continue to explore Microscale in the context of the similar chest reveal. I believe there is wonder within the surprise element of opening the chest to find a Microscale world with a range of customizations available to builders to create their own designs.
I would like to recognize the following designs which served as inspiration for the three Microscale layouts:
- Castle: Jeff Friesen‘s “A castle amongst waterfalls”
- Pirates: Rock Island Refuge - Lego #6273 <- one of my favorites growing up
- Western: Dimitry’s “The Road To The West”, Jannis Mavrostomos a.k.a Bricksized “Western” build
THANK YOU!
If this looks like a project you would like to build yourself then I would absolutely love your support. Let me know in the comments if you have any Microscale tips and tricks, or improvements you would suggest making to the design. Thank you for your time and support!
