Master of Puppets is the third studio album by Metallica, released on March 3, 1986, by Elektra Records. Recorded in Denmark at Sweet Silence Studios with producer Flemming Rasmussen, it was the band's last album to feature bassist Cliff Burton.
It is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most influential heavy metal albums of all time and is credited with consolidating the American thrash metal scene.
The artwork, designed by Metallica and Peter Mensch and painted by Don Brautigam, depicts a cemetery field of tombstones tethered to strings, manipulated by a pair of hands in a red sky. In my opinion, this composition is pretty awesome.
As a huge Metallica fan, it would be pretty cool to see this project in reality. It was a pretty good feeling designing and building the sky and overall the whole composition and to make it into 3 dimensional. It's also a great challenge to find the right scale and to build the logo and the text elements. The whole process took 2 months, it was pretty fun.
The set includes around 1100 bricks.
