My new project is a very strong crawler.
The idea was to design a strong vehicle that can handle all terrain without hearing any teeth brushing sounds. So I decided to place a motor on each wheel directly as the differentials are not strong enough. The gear reduction is 1 : 5, so the crawler is strong but not too slow at max speed. There is a video to show this all.
The features are:
- 4 wheel drive with 4 motors, one at each wheel.
- 4 wheel steering with servo motor.
- 2 battery boxes, one for two motors.
- Long travel suspension.
- Opening hood, with fake engine.
- Opening wing doors.
- Full interior.
