My LEGO idea is a model of the flying house from the Disney movie "Up." It is 6 1/2" high, 9" long, and 6 1/4" wide. The model includes Carl Fredricksen and Russell, the mailbox, the weather vane, the hose caddy and, of course, the house. The house is made of multicolored LEGO bricks, with each colored section the same color as the house in the movie. The main colors used are blue, yellow, pink, orange, green, white, red, and black. Transparent bricks of the same section colors are used for windows.
I decided to build this model because I like the architecture of the house, and I have seen pictures of the real-life model house. l thought it would be a great challenge to build it out of LEGOs. I think my house would be good as an official LEGO product because other kids my age who are interested in architecture would enjoy constructing this familiar house from the Disney movie. It has a unique retro style that makes it fun to build because of all the different colors and angles. These features give the house its own personality just like in the movie.
