Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
This is Pete the Penguin. He is playful and mischievous, and he enjoys sliding on the ice and diving into the ocean!
This model is challenging to build, yet satisfying. It is formed of mostly simple elements such as regular square/rectangular bricks and plates- no curves here! Another thing that sets this model apart is the hinged wings, and rotating head. These can be moved and posed manually, when younger children play with the model, but there is also the potential for the more experienced LEGO fan to add motors and program them to move as they wish! The inside of the model is therefore largely hollow, to aid with the addition of motors if desired, and to make it lighter.
I designed Pete as a friend for my dragon, Spike, who is of a comparable design and size. I used similar techniques to the ones I used to build Spike when I was building Pete, giving him a classic LEGO style, "blocky" appearance.
Please support my project if you would like it to be a reality, and want to have your very own "Pete" on your desk, bedside table, or in your child's bedroom/playroom (if they are lucky enough for you to not keep him for yourself!).
Thank you for taking the time to view my project, and feel free to share it with other people who may enjoy it!
