Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
This build is an antique tractor based on the McCormick Farmall platform of the early 1940s. These tractors were famous for their red color, but I decided to use a light blue for the main color to create contrast with the rust colors. I created this build because rusted out tractors are common views in the rural American South where I grew up.
I used BrickLink Studio to create this build but it's perfectly able to be built in physical LEGO bricks. I hope to order the lots that I need to complete this build and have more pictures by the end of the summer. I used a lot of techniques combining different stud surfaces like brackets and jumper plates. On BrickLink, I have a full instruction booklet completed if you want to build this MOC for yourself. Link is below:
This build uses more advanced techniques, which makes it appealing to older build audiences. Also, everybody loves tractors. As a kid I always loved playing with tractor toys, and once the build is complete it can be played with. It also works extremely well as a display piece. There's no custom parts, color molds, or IP conflicts- every part is made in a color and mold that is produced by LEGO and the McCormick Farmall was merely a reference- there are plenty of differences.
