El Chavo de 8 ("the boy from number 8") is a popular Mexican sitcom from the 70's created by Roberto Gomez Bolaños "Chespirito".
It's widely known in all Latin America, including Brazil, Spain, and it also aired in Italy under the name "Cecco della botte".
An animated version was created in 2006; this version was dubbed into English, which helped Chespirito's creation reach new markets.
Despite being a show from the 70's, it's still broadcast in the present day in many countries with high ratings.
Being a fan of Lego and El Chavo I created the neighborhood in Lego as a tribute to Chespirito's work, and I'm sure both kids and adults who love El Chavo will want this set in their collection, too.
A set like this can be fun even for people who are not familiar with the show as it has different scenarios to play with like a witch house, a courtyard that has plenty of room to add elements of their own creation, etc.
It comes with 10 minifigures: Chavo, Chilindrina, Quico, Señor Barriga, Doña Florinda, Profesor Jirafales, Doña Cleotilde (normal version and witch version), Don Ramón, and Jaimito the Mailman.
It features the main scenarios from the show including the courtyard of the neighborhood, the street, the vacant lot, Jaimito's house, Doña Florinda's house, Doña Cleotilde's house, and Don Ramón's house.
