Relive the golden days of railtravel on board The Crescent Limited. Have your hand on the throttle, blow the whistle and watch as sights fly by as your drive this classic train around. The express belonged to the Southern Railway Company and Southern Pacific Railroad. It was instated as a way to draw attention back to the railroad industry along with establishing a route from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles with a junction in New Orleans. Amtrak would use this idea later on, when making the Sunset Limited service which ran from New Orlaens to LA from 1993 to 2005. The train sported a lovely livery of red, white, and green, accompanied with luxerius comfort for long distance journeys. The model seen here features a 4-6-2 pacific class locomotive and stand to display the model on. The cab is fully detailed with throttle, water gauge, valves, opening firebox door, brake, and Johnston bar. It can easily fit 2 minifigures, which are provided with the set. On the exterior there are handrails, working drive rods, airbrakes, pipes, and much more. The locomtive does include power functions and the systems can be found with in the tender:with the motor residing in the firebox of the engine, This model was designed with plentiful amounts of details to be a display model, but sturdy enough to be run on any layout and be played with. I can promise this build will be rememerable and enjoyable for all ages.
The entire set includes:
1. Locomotive with power functions motor
2. Tender with power functions battery box and sensor
3. Display Stand
Hope you all enjoy the set and go full steam ahead.
From,
