Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
About the Model: The main build of the model is a blue, white, and gray energy converting station 6.5 inches long, 3.25 inches wide, and 5.25 inches tall. The energy turbines are hooked up to the long-distance communicator, and inside the outpost are controls for the turbines. The main vehicle of the model is a blue and gray spaceship 4.5 inches long, 2.5 inches wide, and 2 inches tall. The other smaller vehicle is a gray buggy with a wrench, a walkie-talkie, and a red toolbox with the spaceman logo on it that is clipped onto the buggy. The set would include a red spaceman and a white spaceman as well as a friendly robot and a hostile Insectoid. The spacemen would also have a pistol, goggles, and handcuff accessories. The Insectoid would come with his energy rifle and signature crystal. On the nose of the spaceship, I would like to have the spaceman logo on the blue 2x2 sloped brick in the final production.
Why I Built it: Ever since I learned about LEGO IDEAS, I've wanted to make one of my designs into a real LEGO set. Since LEGO Space has always been one of my favorite themes, it was only fitting that the first model I submitted was LEGO Space (it's my first submitted model because I just recently turned 13).
Why it Would Make a Great LEGO Set: I think that it would be marketable to kids because it's simple to build, and kids love anything space related. Any "big kids" old enough to remember the original Space sets should recall that the red and white spacemen were the first ones to rocket to the stars, and overall I tried to make the outpost, ship and buggy have a retro appearance.
