David the Gnome

This set is based on the cartoon series David the Gnome. David helps and heals the animals in the forest together with his wife Elisabeth and with the help of his friendly fox Swift, who takes them from one place to another at high speed. The Gnomes are cute little creatures who live underground, where they themselves build their own house after having chosen the right tree, whose trunk will serve as the main entrance to the house where David and Elisabeth live together with their two pet mice and where they take refuge from the evil Trolls, those horrible beings who come out at nightfall wanting to eat the Gnomes and who must return to their cave before the sun rises because otherwise its rays will turn them into stone statues.  

I have built this set because I think it is a nice way to remind many nostalgic people of those wonderful years.
