Hi everyone! It’s been a while! Recently I just watched the Lego Movie and loved that part of it was set in the Wild West! This inspired my newest build, the Western Town. The build has a little less than 300 pieces and contains 6 Minifigures. The set was designed on Stud.io and custom decals were made in Part Designer.
This build went through many stages of development. At first, I wanted to use 1x2 slopes to design the outer panels of the building, but then it was too bulky. After looking at what some other western builds had, I changed it to plates and used bars to hold it up. There was also a moment when I wanted a windmill to be added. It took a while to get it the way I wanted, and I hope you like it!
The Build:
- The build contains 2 main structures, the Saloon and the Sheriff’s office. There are also outer builds such as a water tower and a stagecoach.
- The water tower was really fun to make. I started off with a pentagon then added 2x2 slope curves on the outside. I was lucky to have the 6x6 round plate fit inside it to give it the water effect.
- The Saloon contains a bar, a table, a piano, and a large chandelier. For the saloon, I tried many new techniques including using steering wheels for the chandelier and a slop mosaic for the bar.
- The Sheriff Office has two main sections, a jail, and a bedroom. The bedroom has an assortment of books along with an evidence board. The jail is separated to have bunk beds and also have a desk near it.
- The stagecoach can also be opened for play. The roof is easily removable and Minifigures can easily be placed inside.
Thank you and I appreciate your support!
