This is your chance!
The "Conservatoire of Music and Dance" is the school for all those enthusiastic and talented minifigures to make their dreams come true. Whether you want to excel in ballet, breakdance, jazz dance, saxophone, violin, guitar, bass, piano, singing or music production: this is the place to learn the skills!
The conservatoire is located in a classy and classical building fitting to old conservatoire tradition whilst trying to be the school of the future with the up-to-date student facilities and a sustainable green roof. I built it as a modular building so you would be able to connect them to other buildings you build or own.
Explore the creative spaces
What you will find in the set:
Ground floor
- In front of the school there are two small green spaces: one with a big tree and a wooden bench to chill on between the classes and one with storage spaces for vehicles like bicycles and a wisteria in bloom that climbs up all the way to the roof!
First floor
- The entrance hall with a wall of fame with golden records and an Oscar. Plus the doors to the dance studio and the theater, and the big black stairs to the upper floor.
- A big dance studio with mirrors, ballet barres and music box. Including a dressing room with a shower to refresh yourself after a dance class or rehearsal.
- Sharing your talent with the rest of the school is possible at the in-house theater space. This space has a stage with rigging, theater lights, a drum kit, music box, microphone, as well as a technical boot and of course red pluche theater chairs for the audience.
Second floor
- A classroom with a white board, desks and chairs and several music instruments (cither violin and upright bass) to study music indeed!
- Two small rehearsal studios with a piano in studio one and a saxophone in studio two. Both studios have colorful soundproofing panels and standards for your sheet music or microphone.
- A cafe for the much needed coffee and those healthy (and less healthy ;)) snacks in between the classes.
- A tiny ladder that provides access to the roof.
The roof
- The space has been planted with a diverse range of plants, flowers and grasses which makes it a very green roof where birds and insects can live and which makes the school more sustainable and futureproof.
Meet the students
The set would include 7 minifigures: Lee the hiphop / urban dance student, Roxy the guitar and singer songwriting student, Miles the music production and bass student, Luce the jazz and ballet dance student, Ceasar the barista / janitor, Ms. Evelyn the dance teacher and Mr. Richard the music theory teacher.
Why I Designed It
Ever since I saw the dance movie Step up! with Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan at the age of 14, I wanted to go to a school where you could sing, dance and play music all day with like-minded people. Later I actually got the chance to study at such an amazing school and with this Lego set I want to open that possibility up to everyone to play with.
