What is it?
I built a very traditional looking steam train. I did my best to copy the spirit of early 20th century designs. I meant to capture the look and feel of trains as I know they rode on the tracks in Germany in the first half of the 20 century.
Why did I build it?
I build this set in order to create a small sized set with appealing looks. And I for one simply haven't got the space anymore in my home to display any big sets. And I know many LEGO fans have that same problem. Besides I grew up in the 70's when LEGOLAND was new and happening. I always liked the scale of the builds of that period. As a kid I could play hours with my modest LEGO collection.
Why is it a great set?
It's a small set that would't have to cost much and that is very playable. Anyone with some imagination could build his/her own trainwagons to expand the train and actually play with it instead of just displaying it in a cabinet. It has the right size for smaller hands.
About the set
It is made of 197 pieces. It contains a locomotive, a tender and a train wagon
I hope you like this set as much as I do and please vote for my Black Mini Train.
