In 2016 Lego released the "Disney minifigures series". One of the minifigures included in this series was a beloved character of mine: Donald Duck! This gave me the chance of combining two things that I love: Donald Duck and Lego...
My intention was to recreate Donald Duck's famous house from the comics and cartoons, starting point of almost all of his fascinating adventures and setting of many funny stories, with Lego in a similar way than Lego did in 2014 with 71006: The Simpsons House. I tried to put in as many references to the comics as possible and now that the build is finally finished i can say that I'm pretty satisfied with the end result.
The house itself is based on a 32x32 baseplate, is about 18cm high and has got two floors. The roof and upper floor can easily get removed to offer access to the interior: In the living room there is an old style TV with an armchair for Donald to sit in. There is also a classic telephone and a small bookshelf. Behind the living room you can find the kitchen with a table, stove, and opening fridge. With the stairs you can enter the upper floor.
There you can find Huey, Dewey and Louie's room with beds in their belonging color, a colorful carpet, a scribble of an angry uncle Donald, impaled with darts, and a desk with symbols of the Junior Woodchucks, lots of medals, a map and the "Junior Woodchucks Guidebook" iself.
Donald's room lies right next door with a small cabinet, bed with nightstand, and - of course - a pile of unpaid invoices, exhortations and debts.
In the garden there you can find some nice flowers, a letter box - for more invoices of course -, and Donalds beloved hammock, clamped between two trees.
The house also features a garage with opening gate, which fits my custom 313 car perfectly.
All occupants of the House are included in this set: Donald himself (of course) and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie.
I've always been a huge fan of Disney Comics and especially of Donald Duck. To see Donald Duck's House as an official Lego set would be a dream come true for me. That's why I posted my project here on Lego Ideas. Giving that Lego already produces Donald Duck themed sets for Lego Duplo and the high success of sets like "The Simpsons House", I see a very high potential in an official Donald Duck's House Lego set.
If you agree with me and like my idea I would be very happy if you could press the "Support" button and/or leave a comment. Suggestions and feedback are very welcome! Also share this project on social media so that this project has higher chances of achieving the goal.
Thank you very much and happy building!
