House Vicens Gaudí

Antoni Gaudí i Cornet was a Spanish architect with a very unique style, usually considered the maximum exponent of Catalan Modernism. Gaudí had an exceptional sense of geometry and volume that he used to create organic, nature-inspired buildings. Most of his works are located in Barcelona, Spain.

My model is a recreation of House Vicens, located in Villa de Gràcia. House Vicens was Gaudí's first relevant work. The house was ordered as a second vacation residence for Manuel Vicens i Montaner, a bill broker. Apart from the house, Gaudí also designed furniture for the family, joining practicality and aesthetics. The house was recently resold, restored, and opened to the public, serving as a museum.

I built this because I visited the house while I was on vacation in Barcelona and thought its intricate design would make for an interesting, challenging build. It has taken me four months to finish the design, so I hope you like it.
