The Simpsons: The Car Built for Homer

"Homer, I need your help. I want you to help me design a car. A car for all the Homer Simpsons' out there."

This LEGO set is based on the fifteenth episode of Season 2 of The Simpsons, "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?". This episode sees Homer given unlimited budget and resources by his half-brother, Herb Powell, to build his dream car, "The Homer".

Herbs company want to produce a car built by the average American to sell to the average American. However, Homer is far from the average American. The cars ridiculous design and the $82,000 price tag causes Powell Motors to go bankrupt, making it a one-off.

I built this because I am a big fan of The Simpsons, and love the cars design and bright colour.

The Simpsons has stood the test of time, being the longest running animated series of all time, and is still watched by millions. As such, I believe it would make a great LEGO set, either for play or display.
