I love the postcard format of Lego sets and on a cross-country drive through the midwestern US, I found inspiration to design one. The design features three wind turbines nestled among the rolling hills of the countryside. While it was specifically a drive through Iowa and Nebraska that inspired me, this scene is actually found in many places around the world.
Over the past two decades, wind turbines have popped up everywhere. I remember the first time I saw them at night - hundreds of blinking red lights as far as the eye could see. It wasn't until the next morning I realized what the lights were, and I was amazed by the fields of wind turbines. These days, I see wind turbines everywhere I travel, a sign of an increased worldwide focus on clean energy and environmental friendliness.
I think this would be a fun addition to the Lego postcard collection. The total piece count is 192, similar to other postcard designs.
