The A-9 Vigilance was a short range starfighter used by the empire. Its impressive speed, agility and simple cockpit controls made up for its weak hull.
Like the Imperial-Class Star Destroyers the A-9 was built by Kuat Drive Yards, trying to get into the starfighter market dominated by Sienar Fleet Systems, the manufacturers of the TIE Fighters.
Just like the TIE-Fighers the A-9 was not given shields or a hyperdrive, and was mainly used in large numbers often operating from a larger carrier.
The model features a fighter pilot that can be seated inside and two launchable rockets.
As it is a very small model it may be paired up with a small rebel fighter.
