- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
I wanted to create a model of an utensil, used in real life, that can be also used in real life. So I came up with this idea. I think it would be very cool if you have a working clock out of lego. Of couse it has some holes in the back, so you can hang it on a wall!
I decided to make it look classy and a little old-fashioned, but i am also working on other models, like more modern ones. (Please help me and write in the comments, which one you would build)
It would currently work, if it is built like shown in the pictures, about two hours, but the running time can be dramatically increased, if there where return pulleys in the chain, that holds the weights, or if the escape wheel (hexagonal wheel in the center with the brown attachments ) had more teeth. I am sure, that with the right modifications it could run about 24 hours.
With an inside modification, it could not only be a mechanic clock, but also an electric clock, if there where a electric motor inside. There are some lego motors, which I could use, but the problem is that I do not know the angular speed, because I would need the right implementation.
If you have any ideas how to improve this project, please do not hesitate sending them to me or write them in the comments.
I would be very thankful for your support and keep building!
