This Lego Ideas design is of a pivotal scene from the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark from 1981. This scene is when the Ark of the Covenant is finally opened by Belloq while Indiana and Marion are tied up and then spirits come out of the ark and scatter within the cavern.
The Indiana Jones series of movies are among my favorites and I have played around with numerous designs as well as being inspired by other Lego builds to submit mine. It provides a challenge to create a sculptured wall and floor as well as a decorated Ark.
This Lego Ideas design is built on a 16x18 baseplate and can easily stand alone among other Lego builds, and offers the builder a challenge to place Lego parts, or even redesign the wall and floor style.
